This past summer we had the amazing privilege of staying at the Torchbearers Centre in Switzerland.
This Centre is located in Wilderswil, a small village just outside of Interlaken. It is the gateway to the Jungfrau region, with stunning views of mountains and waterfalls, breathtaking emerald lakes, a busy tourist center, trains that lead through picturesque Swiss-villages, past flower draped Chalets, waterfall valleys that inspired Tolkien’s Rivendale, and wildflower fields grazed by bell-wearing cows and goats.

Fifty some years ago a group of believers prayed for a place where young people could come and learn about Jesus. They bought what is now a 110 year old Castle in Wilderswil, and named it Credo, which is Latin for “I believe.” It was made into a luxury hotel and is now used throughout the year for all kinds of Christian ministries.

While we were at Credo, Chris and I sat down with the director, Daniel Blaser, and discussed what communication needs they had and whether we could be a support in any way. We strategized for a video and also talked about a new logo. A great relationship has developed between Credo and our team since then as we’ve helped them with their website, produced videos, designed a new logo and offered ideas about Bible school programing. It’s cool because this is what our team was put in place to do – to be available and a support for Torchbearers and help individual centres communicate the ministry and what Christ is doing in peoples lives around the world. It has also been new territory for Chris, who is now taking on more management in the team – overseeing our team’s media projects for Torchbearers. He loves capturing images and editing video more than anything- but is enjoying his new role too.

Chris produced videos in German and English about the broader ministry at Credo. Here is the video in English.
