the roadmap

the question: “where are you living?” is a complicated one. this present journey is a little complicated

the question: “where are you headed next?” is an exciting one to answer.

the journey ahead is one that chris and i could have never imagined. we had no idea last december when we graduated from Moody Bible Institute what the next two years would hold. we had dreams, we had fears. we had some direction, but mostly unknowns. in future posts we will share more about the journey we’ve walked. but for now we’d like to share the journey ahead, and lay out a roadmap of shorts.

THE ROADMAP

New Zealand (October 2012 -March 2013)

BMLBML stands for Buisness Ministry Leadership, and the purpose of this 10 week course is to teach what Scripture has to say about management, marketing, money and leadership.  We see this as an important step in preparing for our future as it will challenge us in our personal walks with the Lord, teach us how to steward our resources wisely and equip us as we serve with TI and wherever God leads us.

ABSWe will also be serving in New Zealand on the ABS course beginning in January. ABS stands for Adventure Bible School, it is an intense six-week course designed to challenge each student as they encounter the Lord through the outdoors, relationships and His Word. We both attended the course in 2007 and are thrilled to help lead the program this next year.

Austria (April-Decmeber 2013)

Taurenhof RA’s: Chris and I will be filling the roles of RA’s (residence assistant’s) next year for both spring and fall school at Taurenhof, the Torchbearers Centre located in Schladming, Austria. Under the direction of the Principal and Dean of Students, Chris and I will be responsible for creating a safe, healthy and supportive environment and culture that encourages the development of our students in a holistic way. What does that look like day to day? In a nutshell we will be modeling behavior (being on time, being respectful), making ourselves available (for counseling and advice), and planning events (both curricular and social, including outreaches and outings).

Upward Bound/ Summer Camp: During the summer months we will be instructors on Upward Bound (a program very similar to ABS) and serve for five weeks of German speaking camp.

look for details for how you can pray for us and/or support us on the journey ahead in the separate post join us on our journey.
