arriving down under

after a 4 hour flight to LA, a 13 hour flight to Auckland, and a two hour drive just through Cambridge, we pulled up to the long driveway marked with the welcoming sign: “Capernwray Bible School.” 

it was like coming home.

new zealand is brightest green. and the countryside where capernwray is located is made up of farms and pastures.

the small pointed and rolling hills in the distance are familiar, just as the school campus is like walking around the back yard of the home you grew up in.

the flowers are all in springtime-bloom, and there are baby animals EVERYWHERE

dave, our boss and the director of bml, had the brilliant idea of buying seven baby chickens for his two sons to raise. i’m not sure if michael, 5, or taylor, 7, were more excited than i was about the chicks, but i’ve adopted myself into the family so we can all enjoy them together.

here is chris and i in the orangery, where we eat all our meals in one of the main buildings (chris thinks we met somethwere else, but this is where i first remember shaking his hand)

there are tweleve of us here attending bml, and we had our first fellowship last night in the homestead. we gathered in the lounge and spent some time getting to know one another

thank you to all of you who have prayed for us and supported us so that we were able to come back to this special place. it is overwhelming to be here, and such a blessing.
