when our families came to Austria

One of the hardest things about this stage of life is being far away from our families. We always look forward to the time we have with them because it has been so rare in the past two years. One of the major highlights from this past summer was when our family came to visit. They each spent about a week with us in early September, and it was so much fun  not only to show them the beautiful country, but also for them to see where we live and work. When you spend most of your days so far from the people you love, there is something so special about getting to show them where you spend your days, where you walk, the people you work with and your favorite things about the place you live. We were able to show them some of our favorite places, enjoy our favorite food together, and even explore new places. We made it to Venice with the Mainlands, and to Vienna with my parents. Both of these cities are only about 4-5 hours away from where we are living in Austria, but we wouldn’t have made it there if I families hadn’t come to visit. We really enjoyed getting to share these places and experiences with them.
